  1. Can Pinwheel be used to switch Social Security payments?

    Yes, Pinwheel does offer coverage for Social Security Payments, which are generally handled in the Automated switch flow or search for “Social Security.”

  2. Do I search for my employer? What if my employer isn't included in the list?

    You can search by payroll service providers (like ADP or Paychex), or for your employer. If your employer uses a Pinwheel-supported provider, they will be listed. If your employer or payroll service provider isn’t listed, Pinwheel can produce a PDF with account details that can be provided to your employer to help generate the switch.

  3. Does Pinwheel support switching with Business accounts?

    No. Only personal deposit accounts are supported.

  4. Can I make a change to my direct deposit elections?

    Yes, you can update the existing setup or add additional paychecks to the account.

  5. Do I have to switch my entire paycheck to the new account?

    No. You may perform a full switch, which switches your entire paycheck. You also have the option to do a partial switch, which may be a fixed amount or a percentage to your new account.

  6. What do I do if I haven’t seen my direct deposit in my new account after two payroll cycles?

    Union Bank customer support can access the Pinwheel dashboard and check the status. You should also contact your payroll department. Some employers may have additional security or verification procedures where you must act.

  7. No, the link provided to initiate direct deposit switching is typically single-use and is intended for completing the initial switch. If you want to cancel, you will log in directly to your payroll service.

  8. For direct deposit switch, what if it is with one of my accounts, but because of fraud, I need to change account numbers?

    You would log into the self-serve experience and navigate to the account you wish to use for Direct Deposit. You would then access the Pinwheel experience and be able to move the Direct Deposit to the desired account.

  9. How much does Pinwheel cost?

    There is no cost to you.
